George Hutchings

UPDATE:  George was able to collect and sell 205,000 lbs of shoes. He was able to buy a fresh water drilling rig that will supply water to over 18,000 people in Kenya!  WOW!

George is focusing on Africa and soles for souls - turning used shoes into fresh water for Kenyans, buy collection and selling used shoes and selling them to raising money for fresh water drilling equipment.you won't see much of Eaglewings mentioned anymore- if you want to contact George and ck out his website, use www.Shoeman.org    Thanks and God bless.

October 2009

George and I went to a Rotary club meeting in Festus,  at the request of and as guests of Mike Sardo, from the JC Rescue Mission.George put on a slide show of some of the people he meets in Kenya and the struggles they go through to get water. George held up a glass of water that looked like coffee with cream in it, and explained that's what they drink on a daily basis.  For every 200,000 pairs of shoes George can collect, he can get a well drilling rig that can dig 20-30  fresh water wells a year.  He estimates so far they have dug clean, fresh water for 120,000 people so far. Consider donating your used shoes to George.

Summer 2009

George was back from Kenya. George is a very good and Godly man and I'm proud to call him my friend.

Two of his videographers, as you may have seen on the news were involved in a plane crash and one was badly burned...please pray for them and their familes..

Well another year has come and gone, and Godly men like George are still doing the Lord's work. George has upped the ante to collecting 200,000 pairs of shoes this year.  I have no doubt he'll "gitter done!"

In 2008, George was planning a mission trip to Africa. among other things, to dig much needed water wells.  He asked me to go with him, but due to the violence there, in Kenya, it was put on hold. We are hopeful that this will pass and God will re open the door, according to his time and plan.

George does some great things with inner city kids, here, as well as getting medical supplies, shoes and other items to our brothers and sisters in Africa.

George is currently involved in collecting shoes to send to Africa. It's "soles for souls",  I understand.  George is a good and Godly man, with a heart for people.

We met George around May 2007 through the Starling Road Baptist Church in Arnold, Mo. Since that time, we've donated  a total of $1164.73 to EagleWing Ministries through the help of all our supporters.

In 2009 We've donated $347.50, so far.

In 2008  we gave Eagle Wings $310.70.

Jefferson County Rescue Mission has donated over 300 pairs of shoes to George's "Soles for Souls."
